LAKELAND, Fla. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Teams have been released, including five from the Florida Southern College baseball team.
Ty Bradle, Carson Brady, John Essig, Tanner Rollyson, and
Mikey Scott were selected as Academic All-District winners, the most FSC selections to CSC in program history. Scott is the only repeat winner from this year's group, with each of the four other selections earning their first academic accolade. Scott was named All-District last season and later earned CSC Academic All-American status.
Bradle had a big junior campaign for the Moccasins in 2026, starting 13 of his 15 appearances. He finished the season with a 3.53 ERA in his 63.2 innings pitched, with 62 strikeouts. Opposing batters had a .237 average at the plate, adding a combined shutout this season. The Fishers, Ind., native had a big game against Palm Beach Atlantic on April 18, with six shutout innings and nine strikeouts for one of his four wins this season.
Brady was an anchor in the infielder for FSC, starting 46 of the 47 games at third base. He finished with a .298 batting average with 53 hits this season in over 170 at-bats. A team-high nine home runs, Brady had a slugging percentage of .500, drawing 20 walks for an OB% of .371. The Odessa, Fla., native added 30 putouts and 70 assists for a .926 fielding percentage in the infield.
Essig was a big addition to the team this season as a graduate transfer. He had 18 appearances in relief, with 13 strikeouts in 10.2 innings pitched. The lefty won the game against Lynn on April 25, a 17-6 victory for the Mocs. Out of the 18 appearances for the Commerce Township, Mich., native had only six games that he gave up a run. In all, Essig had a 5.06 ERA, with batters averaging .250 at the plate.
Rollyson opened the season as a strong reliever or midweek starter, ending the year as one of the weekend starters from his 14 appearances. He had four starts in that time with 41.2 innings pitched. Joining FSC's other two starters, Rollyson finished 2026 with 42 strikeouts and a 3.89 ERA. In a big relief game against Northwood, Rollyson was credited with the 12-5 win on March 7, going 4.2 innings with just three hits allowed and three strikeouts. The Plant City, Fla., native in his third season with the Mocs, had a big game against Lynn with a season-high six strikeouts over 4.2 innings pitched.
Scott earned his second consecutive CSC All-District award after another stellar year for the Moccasins. The graduate student had a team-high .338 batting average in 201 at-bats and a team-best 68 hits. He had 42 RBI on the year on six homers, four triples, and eight doubles. His slugging percentage was a .507, with an OB% of .389. The Cutler Bay, Fla., native tied
Eli Thurmond on the team with 22 stolen bases this season. A starter in all 48 games, Scott earned All-SSC honors for the third time in his career.
