LAKELAND, Fla. – Six Florida Southern College men's cross country and track student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly CoSIDA, Men's Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-District, when the association released the teams on Tuesday (June 23). Eli Zuppa receive the honor.
Colavita takes home his second career CSC Academic All-District honor. The senior has a perfect 4.00 GPA while studying Sport Business Management. He is four-time USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner, four-time Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll member, two-time SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll awardee and has received the FSC cross country and track Academic Award for the past two seasons. On the cross country course, he is a three-time USTFCCCA All-South Region honoree, three-time All-SSC First Team member and three-time SSC All-Championship Team selection. On the track, he holds the program record for the indoor 3,000m which he set this past season. During the outdoor season, he tied the school record in the 5,000m and is now the co-record holder along with former Moccasin great Mason Jones. He earned First Team All-SSC honors in the 10,000m and Second Team in the 5,000m. He went on team earn USTFCCCA All-South Region honors in both events as well.
Giller earns his first CSC Academic All-District honor. The senior has an above 3.5 GPA while studying History at FSC. He is three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner, four-time Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll member, two-time SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll awardee. On the cross country course, he is a three-time USTFCCCA All-South Region honoree, three-time All-SSC First Team member, three-time SSC All-Championship Team selection and four-time SSC Runner of the Week. On the track, he holds the program record for the indoor 5,000m which he set last season. He dd not compete this past outdoor track season but he still holds the FSC Freshman Record in the 10,000m. He earned USTFCCCA All-South Region honors in the indoor 5,000m and is a two-time All-Region honoree in the outdoor 10,000m. During his last outdoor season (2025), he was a two-time All-SSC First Team selection in the 5,000m and 10,000m.
Matthew takes home his second career CSC Academic All-District honor. The senior has a 3.78 GPA while studying Sport Business Management. He is a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner, four-time Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll member and two-time SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll awardee. On the cross country course, he is a two-time USTFCCCA All-South Region honoree, two-time All-SSC Second Team member, one-time All-SSC First Team selection, one-time SSC All-Championship Team selection and 2022 SSC Freshman of the Year. On the track, he holds the program and freshman records for the indoor 800m and the program record in the indoor mile. He also holds the program records in the outdoor 800m and 1,500m. He was named USTFCCCA All-South Region in both the 800m and mile this past indoor season his third and fourth career All-Region indoor track honors.
Nyland earns his first career CSC Academic All-District honor. The sophomore holds a 3.6 GPA while studying Marketing at FSC. He is a two-time SSC Commissioner's Fall and Spring Honor Roll recipient and was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete this past Fall. During this past cross country season, Nyland was named SSC Runner of the Week as well as USTFCCCA M-F Athletic National Division II Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Ed Holloway Classic. For indoor track, he holds the program record in the 1,000m which he set this past season and holds the freshman record in the mile. For outdoor, he holds the freshman record in the 800m.
Toppi picks up his first career CSC Academic All-District honor. The junior holds a 3.75 GPA while studying criminology at FSC. He was named to the SSC Commissioner's Fall and Spring Honor Rolls this past year. He picked up USTFCCCA Outdoor Track All-South Region honors in the 10,000m while earning Second Team All-SSC in the 5,000m. He posted the third-fastest 5,000m indoor time this season on the squad while turning in the third-best 5K and fourth-best 10K times during the outdoor season. Took top-five finishes in two of the three races he participated during the indoor season and followed that up with five top-five finishes out of seven events during the outdoor season.
Zuppa earns his first career CSC Academic All-District honor in his first season of eligibility. The sophomore holds a 3.86 GPA while studying exercise science at FSC. He was named to the SSC Commissioner's Fall and Spring Honor Rolls over the past two seasons. He was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete following the cross country season and also earned a spot on the SSC All-Championship Team with his eighth place showing at the 2025 SSC Championships. He picked up Second Team All-SSC honors in cross country before picking up Second Team All-SSC accolades in the outdoor 10,000m. He holds the FSC freshman record in the indoor 3,000m and both the indoor and outdoor 5,000m.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
