Melindo Earns CSC Academic All-America Honors

AUSTIN, Texas - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025-26 Academic All-America Men's Tennis Teams have been released, with Edoardo Melindo honored on the list.

Melindo earned his first career Academic All-America recognition, a strong end to his FSC career. Graduating with a degree in finance and a 4.0 GPA, Melindo is the fifth player in program history to be named an Academic All-American by CSC.

A senior captain on the No. 13 men's tennis team, Melindo had a big season for the Moccasins. He had one appearance in singles but was a key figure in the doubles lineup, joining with Mario Garoz on a 16-3 overall record at the #3 court for an All-Sunshine State Conference Second Team selection. The Torino, Italy, native was ranked as high as No. 25 in doubles and finished the 2026 season ranked No. 50 in doubles with Garoz.

Over his four years with Florida Southern, Melindo finished his career with 21 doubles wins and nine singles wins. Not only a strong member of the team on the court and in the classroom, but Melindo was also part of a team winning the ITA Community Service Award for the South Region, exemplifying the emphasis on team and community for the team and head coach Rhett Rollyson. Other accolades over his time at FSC include ITA Scholar-Athlete, SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, and the FSC Athletic Director's Scholar-Athlete Award for Men's Tennis.
