Levassiur Announces the 2026 FSC Cross Country Schedules

LAKELAND, Fla. – Head Coach Matt Levassiur of the Florida Southern College men's and women's cross country teams released his 2026 schedules Thursday morning (July 2). The Moccasins will compete in six regular season meets including three on their home course in Lakeland and a pair of trips out-of-state. 
 
"I am looking forward to seeing the team carry its recent momentum into the 2026 season," said coach Levassiur. "Our schedule allows us to test ourselves both regionally and nationally nearly every week and I am ready to see both teams continue to elevate themselves as we climb towards postseason success."
 
The 2026 campaign gets underway on Saturday, Sept. 5 as both the men's and women's teams will compete at the Uncle Nick's XC Bagel Run on their home course, Holloway Park. The men open up action at 7:25 AM while the women's race will commence at 7:50 AM.
 
Just about two weeks later, the Moccasins head on the road for the first time as the teams head to the state capital. FSC will compete in the FSU Invite on Friday Sept. 18 in Tallahassee, Fla. After another two week break the Moccasins return to action in Lakeland at the 27th FLRunners.com Invitational on Oct. 2.
 
The first out-of-state trip happens just one week later as FSC heads airborne to the Lewis Crossover in Romeoville, Ill. The meet is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9. The final home regular season meet closes out three-straight weeks of action as the Mocs host the Ed Holloway Classic. The women open up action at 5:45 PM on Friday, Oct. 16 while the men follow at 6:15 PM.
 
The final regular season meet of the year takes place on Sat., Oct. 24 as FSC travels to Huntsville, Ala. for the Chargers Invite in a preview of the 2026 NCAA South Region Championship course.
 
The 2026 season wraps up with the Sunshine State Conference Championship on Saturday, Nov. 7 on FSC's home course, Holloway Park, but is hosted by Lynn University. The NCAA South Region Championship is two weeks later in Huntsville, Ala. on Nov. 21 while the National Championship is scheduled for Dec. 4 in Lawrence, Kan.
