AIKEN, S.C. — Florida Southern College women's soccer (3-0-3) defeated USC Aiken (2-4-0) 3-0 on Saturday. The Mocs finished with a 23-5 shot advantage, including 14-2 in shots on goal, and recorded the shutout with two saves.

Florida Southern built a 2-0 halftime lead behind goals from Ellie Dossantos and Tristan Raymond, converting pressure in the 22nd and 40th minutes. Earlier, the Moccasins created immediate chances with Dossantos' corner at :28, a Frankie Gatien shot saved by Savannah Yerger and a Haydn Ealey attempt that went high inside the first three minutes. The visitors kept USCA under pressure from 11:54 to 20:44, recording five shots and earning two Hayden Johnston corners before Carly Brodsky saved Gabriella Maddalena's shot at 21:01 and Dossantos scored at 21:54 off Brinley Beorlegui's assist for a 1-0 lead. Johnston later hit the crossbar in the 26th minute, Brodsky added another save on Reese Agnew, and Raymond followed his saved shot at 39:00 with a goal five seconds later to send the Mocs into halftime ahead 2-0. Raymond's goal was the first of her collegiate career.

Jamie Klein scored in the 86th minute, finishing a Florida Southern goal assisted by Dossantos and Johnston, off the later's corner, to make it 3-0. Earlier, the Moccasins pressed after halftime with a Johnston corner, a saved Ally Prentice shot, a saved Johnston attempt and another Johnston shot off the post by 60:20. The visitors kept generating set-piece chances later in the half, earning three corners from 66:32 to 72:13 and adding shots from Dossantos, Johnston and Ava Hackworth during that stretch. The Pacers pushed back with three corners and two blocked shots between 80:40 and 81:58, but Florida Southern kept the shutout intact. After Klein's goal, Johnston put two more shots on frame and added another corner as the Mocs finished off the 3-0 win.

Dossantos scored the game-winning goal, added an assist and finished with five shots. Johnston recorded an assist and led Florida Southern with nine shots, including five on goal. Raymond added an unassisted goal and put both of her shots on frame. Brodsky made two saves in 90 minutes and recorded a shutout, her third of the season.
