Lakeland, Fla. --- The Florida Southern men's soccer team has returned to the recent United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25 poll as the No. 19 team in the country, as announced on Tuesday afternoon (Sep. 22).

FSC receives their second entry into the Top 25 polls this season, and their firsty year to do so since 2018 where they were ranked as high as eighth on October 2nd of that same season. The Mocs are alsothe only team in the SSC to be ranked in this week's polls, with only Florida Tech receiving votes just outisde the Top 25.

The Mocs currently have a 6-0-1 record, highlighted by two wins to start SSC play against both Eckerd and previously #13 Lynn. It's the first time the Mocs have started 2-0 in conference since that 2018 season, and the first time the team has defeated a top-15 opponent since 2023.

The squad has only allowed one or fewer goal in six of their seven matches, including four clean sheets by graduate student keeper Ricardo Marques. Maques himself is top-15 nationally in both shutouts (4) and GAA (0.86).

Offensively, a trio of Mocs have scored four different times this season in Darcy Moffat, Hector Oliver and Tim Baierlein. All of them have braces on the year, including a fourth Moc in Gustav Lind who scored twice against Saint Leo. Joao Lopes and freshman Ollie Stephens also have added two goals offensively, while both Moffat and Oliver pace the squad with their eleven points each.

The #19 Mocs keep their strong schedule going as they face #24 Flagler at home in their final nonconference bout of the season. Kickoff at Berend Field is set for 6 PM on Wednesday (Sep. 23rd).
