TAMPA, Fla. - The Florida Southern College women's tennis team opened its fall schedule at the Hillsborough CC Invite from Sept. 18-20. All 12 Mocs competed in the three-day event held at the Tejas Pradip Patel HCC Tennis Center.

DAY 1

The freshmen duo of Kristyna Bohatova and Johanna Dahlstrom made their debut with a 6-1 doubles win over SEU. Senior Josie Holderbach and sophomore Diana Volkov paired up for a 6-1 win against Hillsborough College.

In singles play, Bohatova continued her opening day success with a 7-5, 6-2 win over SEU's Amanda Cotrim. FSC picked up two more wins over SEU behind Ronja Scheuermann picking up a 4-6, 7-5, 11-9 win over Maria Bylina and Elena Samuelsson's 6-0, 6-1 win over Sahla McElwaine.

Elona Simonov defeated Hillsborough's Mirthe de Bresser 6-4, 5-7, 10-4. Newcomers Veronika Hulova and Alicja Tomczyk recorded wins over HC's Aline Benz 6-1, 6-2 and Sofia Brooks 4-6, 6-3, 10-1, respectively.

DAY 2

Bohatova and Dahlstrom paired up for another doubles win on day two, taking down Hillsborough's de Bresser and Charlotte Chmelikova, 6-2. Holderbach and Emily Jennewein defeated Tampa's Rebecca Presley and Josefine Hardelin.

Bohatova continued her impressive weekend with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Tampa's Ava Lewis in singles play. Holderbach, a 2026 ITA All-American, topped Hillsborough's Emily Lederer by scores of 6-3, 4-6, 10-3.

DAY 3

Jennewein and Scheuermann, an All-SSC Second Team pair in 2026, teamed up for a 6-3 win over Saint Leo on the final day of competition. Giulia Bizzari made her Florida Southern debut, pairing with Holderbach for a 7-6 (5) win over Tampa. 

Elena Samuelsson picked up her second singles win of the weekend with an 8-3 victory over Tampa's Townsend Penny. Dahlstrom won her first singles match, 8-6, over Hillsborough's Naimo Crowell. Elona Simonov also picked up a singles win on day three with a 9-7 defeat of Saint Leo's Sofia Hadab. Bohatova capped off an undefeated weekend with a 9-7 victory over Hillsborough's Mirthe de Bresser.

The Mocs return to action at the Mercer Gridiron Classic from Oct. 2-4. The competition will be held at the Randy Stephens Tennis Center in Macon, Ga.
