#5 West Texas A&M Shuts Down #7 Mocs in Four Sets

The seventh-ranked Moccasins got off to a good start in Friday night's match with fifth-ranked West Texas A&M, but couldn't sustain the effort.

After hitting .355 and winning the first set 25-23, the Moccasins were unable to muster any offense the rest of the match and West Texas won three straight sets, 25-20, 25-21, 25-13.

With the win, West Texas improved to 11-3, while the Moccasins slipped to 10-3.

The Buffaloes weren't overpowering in the three sets they won, as they hit just .217, but the Moccasins hit a combined .000 in those three sets and finished the match with a season-low .079 hitting percentage.

Danielle Durham was the only Moccasin to reach double figures in kills, as she had 11 to raise her career total to 1,102, which moved her into 10th place ahead of Kim Crawford on FSC's career kills list.  Durham also had a team-high 12 digs to register her seventh double-double of the season and the 42nd of her career.

The Moccasins return to Sunshine State Conference action Wednesday with a 7 p.m. match at Rollins.
