Box Score With all 13 players in uniform getting playing time, the Moccasins cruised past West Alabama, 25-11, 25-14, 25-20, for their seventh straight win Friday night in the South Region Crossover at Jenkins Field House.
The Moccasins are now 16-4 for the season, while West Alabama dropped to 7-13.
Ashley Martin posted a team-high 15 kills and hit .636 for the match. Lauren Huber played in just two of the three sets and produced seven kills, while hitting .700 for the match. Anna Niebuhr led the defensive effort with 16 digs.
All 13 players recorded at least one dig in the match for the Mocs.
Sophomore Morgan Kosterlitz came off the bench and tallied career-high numbers with four kills, two digs and three blocks in addition to hitting .500 for the match. The Mocs hit .347 as a team for the match and limited West Alabama to a hitting percentage of .093.
In Friday's other matches, North Alabama won a five-set match over Lynn, West Florida won in four sets over Lynn and Tampa beat North Alabama in three sets.
The Moccasins play Saturday at 3:30 p.m. against West Florida, looking to avenge a five-set loss to the Argonauts Sept. 27 at Pensacola. Tampa plays West Florida at 11 a.m., Lynn plays West Alabama at 1 p.m. and Tampa will take on West Alabama in the final match at 6 p.m.
