Mocs Drop 4-1 Decision To Flagler

Flagler scored two runs early and added two runs late to beat the top-ranked Moccasins 4-1 Wednesday night at St. Augustine.

In a game that was 95 minutes late in starting due to the late arrival of the umpires, the Saints scored single runs in the second and third to grab a 2-0 lead.

The Moccasins got one run back in the sixth on a solo homer by Kelvin Clark, his 10th of the season, but Flagler tacked on two more runs in the seventh.

The Saints (17-11), who had baserunners in every inning, outhit the Mocs 12-3 and left 15 runners on base. Josh Kempa was the starter and winner for Flagler. Tucker Pryor (4-1) took the loss.

The Moccasins (24-4) open a three-game Sunshine State Conference series at Eckerd Friday night at 7.
