FSC Women Win Jump Competition, FSC Remains Second At NCWSA Championhip

Another strong performance by the FSC women, this time in the jump event, allowed FSC to stay in second place after two days of competition at the National Collegiate Water Ski Association National Championship in Zachary, Louisiana, Friday.

After winning the women's slalom Thursday, FSC added the jump event to its winnings Friday. Lauren Morgan was the individual winner in the event and Manon Costard placed third. Morgan won with 560 points, 10 points better than runner-up Lisa Francke of Louisiana-Monroe.

That 10-point advantage proved to be the same as the team point margin in the event. FSC scored 1,930 points to 1,920 for ULM.

In the men's trick event, FSC placed fifth. Kyle Zimmerman was 14th.

ULM leads the overall point standings with 7,770 points. FSC is second with 7,175 and Louisiana-Lafayette is third with 7,165.

The women's trick and men's jump events will be featured on Saturday's final day of competition.
