Coach Trish Riddell may want to take her team to Texas more often. The Moccasins won all three weekend matches in the Lone Star state and extended their current winning streak to four straight matches after topping Incarnate Word, 6-3, Sunday at San Antonio.
Owning a 2-1 advantage after winning the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches, the Moccasins picked up straight-set wins from Magda Riutort at No. 1 and Sabine Goge at No. 2 by scores of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-0, respectively. Laura Wichmann won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6 and Joalis Dominguez won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3.
The Moccasins' four straight wins have boosted their record to 7-7. They'll be back on their home courts Tuesday for a 3 p.m. match against Lindenwood (Mo.).
