LAKELAND, Fla. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025 Academic All-District women's tennis team has been announced, with four from the Florida Southern College women's team named to the list. Representing the Moccasins are Olivia Bryant, Ronja Scheuermann, Kelly Klaren, and Kennedi Brown, earning the CSC Academic All-District honors.

The Moccasins finished in third place at the Sunshine State Conference tournament and owned a 17-6 record.

Bryant just graduated with a degree in communications: interpersonal and organizational and named All-SSC first team singles honors and finished the season ranked ninth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and concluded her graduate year ranking as high as seventh in singles actions with a 17-4 overall record all being in the No.1 singles position.

Bryant went on an 11-game winning streak to open the season, only falling to No. 37 Lynn University's Salma Djoubri (6-3, 6-3) before Bryant went on a six-match winning streak taking down top ranked opponents along the way to her best ranking of the season at No. 7. Bryant's highlighted win was taking down No. 3 Alina Michalitsch winning 6-3, 7-5.

Next, sophomore Ronja Scheuermann is working on a degree in accounting and also earned All-SSC second team doubles recognition with partner Emily Jennewein placed on the CSC All-District team. This was the first time since 2023 that Florida Southern has placed a pair on the All-SSC doubles team. As a pair, the duo competed in the 20 matches, going 14-6 on the season, all at the No.2 doubles court. Scheuermann and Jennewein biggest win of the season was defeating No.5 Barry's No.2 doubles pair of Viktroriia Dema and Maria Tatarnikova, who were ranked No. 46, winning in the tiebreaker 7-6 (8-6).

In singles action, Scheuermann went 12-6 with the majority of the action being at No.3 court. During the regular season, Scheuermann clinched the match in an upset against No.5 Embry-Riddle to beat the Eagles 4-3, defeating her opponent 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

The final two Moccasins named to the CSC Academic All-District are No. 1 doubles pair Klaren and Brown. Klaren is a graduate student who just graduated with her master's in business administration with a concentration in industrial and organizational psychology. Outside of the classroom, Klaren owns a 12-2 overall record and 9-1 at the No. 6 singles court. In doubles, Klaren joined forces with Brown, where the two went 11-11 at the top doubles spot. Brown was also recognized for her success in the classroom as the junior is working toward a degree in studio art.
