DAHLONEGA, Ga. - After finishing day one of competition in 8th place, the Florida Southern women climbed another two places to finish 6th at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial hosted by North Georgia at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Georgia.
The women struggled in the first round of competition on Monday as they finished in 15th. However, the Mocs mounted an astounding comeback to rise seven places and finish 8th at the conclusion of the first day. They carried the momentum into today, climbing another two places.
FSC head coach
Robbie Davis was impressed by the way his team performed. He noted, " We had a great finishing round for our women today and a personal best for
Lacey Tucker with even par 216."
Once again,
Lacey Tucker led the women with an impressive back nine of 2-under to finish the third round 2-under. Tucker's combined score of 216 (73, 72, 71) earned her a tie for 12th place individually. This tournament was Tucker's first time in the lineup this season due to illness. She was a key to the Mocs' success and will be very valuable to the team going forward.
The next finisher for the Mocs was senior
