WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's swimming team dominated in a 203-51 win over Rollins College on Friday night.
The Mocs won every individual event during the meet and added a relay win over the Tars in their first win of the season. With multiple first place finishes from different swimmers, the Florida Southern swim team took a commanding lead which did not let up.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elder Oliveira won the 1000 yard freestyle, with Luka Prostran close behind in second
- Keith Peristeridis won the 200 yard freestyle, as Niko Frese came in third
- A full sweep in the 100 yard backstroke with Brandon Dyck, Brandon Wilson, and Cameron Lai-Harris as the top three
- For the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke, Ludovico Viberti and Ludwig Mueller took home first and second each time
- The second sweep of the meet was in the 200 yard butterfly with Miguel Bernotti, Theo Peristeridis, and JJ Saslo rounding out the top three
- Ethan Oliva finished first in the 50 yard freestyle, just ahead of Oliveira in second
- Kyle Micallef and Milosz Mencel placed first and second respectively in the 100 freestyle
- Dyck, Wilson, and Jacob Tuckerman finished in the top three for the 200 yard backstroke
- K. Peristeridis and Oliveira earned first and second in the 500 freestyle, before Lai-Harris, Saslo and T. Peristeridis swept the 100 yard butterfly
- Mueller and Boris Mitev finished first and second in the 200 yard IM
- For the relays, three Florida Southern teams made up the top 400 yard medley performances

- The Mocs had five events with a full sweep of the top three performances in the meet
- Nine different Florida Southern swimmers finished first

The men's swim team will travel to the University of Tampa for a meet on October 22
nd, set for a 4:00 PM start in Tampa.
