LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College water ski team will head to the Syndicate Waterskis 2021 Collegiate Nationals ranked third in the nation according to the National Collegiate Water Ski Association.

The 2021 Collegiate Nationals will be held in Zachary, Louisiana Tri-Lakes October 21-23. Bennett's Water Ski & Wakeboard School, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and the University of Louisiana at Monroe will co-host the tournament with Iowa State University. The championships will begin on Thursday with the men's trick and women's slalom beginning day one. Day two will feature women's jump and men's slalom, with the final day featuring women's trick and men's jump.
The Mocs water ski team enter the championships after finishing in the top four spanning nearly a decade at the NCWSA National Championships. Last time out Florida Southern placed fourth at the 2019-20 NCWSA National Championships, with last year's collegiate nationals cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Mocs beat ranked Rollins College earlier this year in the FSC Fall Collegiate event, and finished second behind the University of Alabama (ranked 1
st) in the Southern and Atlantic Coastal Regionals.
