LAKELAND, Fla. — Florida Southern College's women's basketball suffered a heartbreaking loss to No. 8 Gannon University as the Mocs rallied to come back in the fourth quarter outscoring the Golden Knights in the fourth quarter 22-12 but fall 75-74.
Sara Wohlgemuth led the way for FSC scoring a career-high of 17-points.
"We lost to the No. 8 team in the country and we didn't even play well, but that should allow us to build our confidence up that we can actually be pretty good," said head coach
Betsy Harris. "We learn from it, we learned from it yesterday and it will just keep making us better. We just have to keep getting better and try not to look at our overall record right now. We've been through a lot already just five games in and we can't put our heads down, we just have to build off of this."
Florida Southern falls to 1-4 overall and stays 0-1 in the Sunshine State, while No. 8 Gannon improves to 4-0 on the year.
