LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern women's golf team sits in third place after day one of the 2021 Lady Moc Classic hosted by Florida Southern College at Grasslands Golf and Country Club.
Playing in their first tournament in almost a year, Southern shot a combined 593 on the first day between rounds one and two. The Mocs are hosting 11 Division II teams, including six other SSC schools.
Leading the way for Florida Southern is sophomore
Nathalie Svensson with a combined first and second-round score of 145. She shot three over par on her first 18 and shot a -1 in round two to sit in a tie for eighth place, individually. Sophomore
Loren Perez shot a 73 in both rounds and is tied for 10
th with a +2. With a +3, sophomore Hanna Rozzolo is right behind her in sole possession of 13
th place. Playing as an individual, sophomore
Elizabeth Harding is tied for 15
th with a +5.
Day Two of the Lady Moc Classic begins Tuesday, February 23 with the final round teeing off at 8 a.m., at the Grasslands Golf & Country Club.
