Vero Beach, Fla. – The eighth-ranked Florida Southern College women's golf team shot the best team score in the final round with a +13 to take third place in the 2021 Sunshine State Conference Women's Golf championship. The SSC team title went to Lynn University as the Fighting Knights shot a +14 in the final round to earn a three-stroke victory over the University of Tampa. Lynn's Helen Kreuzer shot a -2 to claim the individual title. The three-round conference tournament was played at the Bent Pine Golf Club in Vero Beach.
Loren Perez and
Hanna Rizzolo finished tied for seventh place individually as Rizzolo shot par in the final round as Perez shot a +7.
Shelby Lewis had her best round of the tournament as she shot a +1 to tie for 19
th place overall.
Lacy Tucker shot a 77 in the final round to take sole possession of 27
th place.
Nathalie Svensson rounded out the Mocs scores as she shot an 82 to tie for 28
th place overall.
Southern will wait for the NCAA Division II South Regional which is set for May 3-5.
