LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern women's golf team finished the 2021 South Regional Preview hosted by Nova Southeastern University at the Grande Oaks Golf club in fifth place.
Southern shot a combined 305 on the final round. That gave the Mocs a team total of 903 for the three-round tournament. They facing 11 Division II teams, including five other Sunshine State Conference schools.
Leading the way for Florida Southern on day two was junior
Nathalie Svensson who shot one under in the final round to finish with a plus-7 moving her up from 15th to seventh. After a remarkable first day on the course shooting a career low of 69,
Loren Perez shot a 78 in the final round to finish with a plus-11 for the tournament coming in tied for 13.
With a, plus-18 junior
Elizabeth Harding finished with a tie for 29th after she shot a 78 in the final round. Marissa Cardenas finished close behind Harding tied for 31st with a 79 on the final day.
Abigail Stetz finished off the Mocs team with a two-day total of 237 shooting an 81 on day two of the tournament.
Gaby Shortridge led the Mocs individuals as she shot a +15 in round three.
UP NEXT
FSC will travel to Savannah, Ga. to compete in the Savannah Lakes Invitational hosted by Lander University on Sept. 27-28.
