LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men and women's swimming teams celebrated Senior Day with a win over visiting Florida Tech Friday afternoon at the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center Pool.
Before the start of the meet, the Mocs held a ceremony to celebrate the 14 seniors:

Bryce Johnson,

The Mocs dominated with a commanding 163-97 win for the women and 175-85 win for the men. The men only lost one individual event as each team were able to notch most of the podium finishes. Both the men and women remain ranked on the season as the men stay eighth and the women sit in 20
th in the latest CSCAA poll.
MEN
Florida Southern was led with
Elder Oliveira,
Ludovico Viberti, and
Kyle Micallef winning two events each. Oliveira won both the 500 (4:38.44) and 1000 (9:36.03) yard freestyle, as Micallef finished first in the 50 (20.46) and 100 (46.12) yard freestyle, and with the top time in the 100 (56.54) and 200 (2:03.85) breaststroke was Viberti. The team of Dyck, Bernotti, Viberti, and Micallef won the 400 yard medley relay.
Other winners for the Moccasins included
Milosz Mencel in the 200 (1:43.01) yard freestyle and Dyck in the 100 (49.54) yard backstroke. Bernotti had the top time for the 200 (1:54.39) yard butterfly and
Brandon Wilson with a win in the 200 (1:58.41) yard backstroke, with
Matteo Zampese the winner for the 200 (1:53.18) yard IM. The only individual event that the Mocs did not win was a close battle in the 100 yard butterfly as Florida Tech's Jay Jay Fonnotto edged out Dyck by six-tenths of a second for the top time and sole FIT win on the men's side.
WOMEN
Maja Eriksson won the first individual event for the women's team with a 1:55.05 time in the 200 yard freestyle.
Jazzy Hoffmann and
Alizee Pelletier led the women with two event wins each as Hoffmann took the best time in the 50 (24.48) and 100 (53.78) yard freestyle events, followed with Pelletier winning the 100 (1:06.40) and 200 (2:23.63) yard breaststroke. The Mocs had a full sweep of the podium in the 400 yard medley relay.
Another sweep of the podium came in the 100 yard backstroke as
Teagan Michalek (59.70),
Lanier Whitton, and
Anya Bogdanova were represented. The second podium sweep for individual events was in the 200 yard backstroke where Sill (2:13.53) had the best time. In another great team showing,
Emily Peck won the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:10.54 as
Stephanie Suarez and
Janie Davis were also represented on the podium.

The Mocs will take some rest as they prepare for the Sunshine State Conference Championships beginning February 16-20 in Clearwater, Fla.
