LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern women's golf, ranked 23
rd in the latest GolfStat team rankings and received votes in the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association coaches' poll, finished in fifth place at the 2022 Lady Moc Classic held at the Grasslands Golf and Country Club in Lakeland, Fla.
Four players for the Moccasins battled it out for the top-Moc where they all finished a stroke off eachother.
Loren Perez claimed the top spot at six-over 222 for the tournament with a final round 75 (+3) in 19
th place while
Nathalie Svensson and
Elizabeth Harding finished at seven-over 223 for 21
st place.
Lacey Tucker carded an even-par 72 to finish at eight-over 224 and in 27
th place.
Hanna Rizzolo rounded out the five golfers in the lineup and finished in the top-40 at 229 +13) with a final round 75 for 39
th place.
Saint Leo University's Francesca Santoni was the individual medalist at three-under 213 following three rounds of 71 (-1). Kerington Lamb (Anderson) fired off a tournament-low 66 (-6) Tuesday which tied the lowest round during the tournament.
No. 1 Lynn won the team title at 869 (+5) with rounds of 293, 291, and 285, which was the lowest team score during the third round of the Lady Moc Classic.
