ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Florida Southern Women's Golf opened the spring semester with a team score of 306 (+18) to sit in sixth place after the first round of the World Golf Invitational hosted by Flagler College at the Slammer and Squire course.
Nathlalie Svensson and
Lacey Tucker led the way for the Moccasins after the duo each carded 75's (+3) for the opening of the spring tournament. Svensson made 12 par's on the day with two birdies to conclude day one.
Tucker joined Svensson with 12 par's while also sinking two birdies for her round Monday.
Hanna Rizzolo was third on the team at four-over 76 while Brianna Ferrel, who is playing as an individual, is sitting in 48
th at seven-over 79.
Elizabeth Harding and
Loren Perez both tied at eight-over.
No. 7 Nova Southeastern is the team leader after the first 18-holes at two-over 290. The Sharks' Hannah Ahlander is the clubhouse leader after carding a two-under 70 during Monday's round. Four of NSU's players are inside the top-15 of the field.
