ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Florida Southern College dropped two to Sunshine State Conference rival Eckerd as FSC fell in game one 3-2 in eight innings and game two with a 9-0 loss in five innings.
The Mocs fall to 10-14 on the season and 1-8 in the Sunshine State Conference, while the Tritons improve to 13-9 on the year and 5-7 in the SSC.
FLORIDA SOUTHERN 2, ECKERD 3
After three scoreless innings,
Maddi Conner hit a solo home run over the right-field fence on a 1-0 count to put the Mocs on the board, 1-0.
In the bottom of the fourth, Eckerd hit a homer of their own, scoring two to take a 2-1 lead over Southern.

Destiny Colgate singled to left-center field to open the sixth inning.
Myah Moy switched positions with pinch-runner
Jessica Bryson, who stole second as Moy doubled to deep right-center for an RBI, tying the game 2-2.
Florida Southern took Eckerd to eight innings as the Tritons hit a walk-off with a single in deep right-center to defeat the Mocs 3-2 in the first game.
FLORIDA SOUTHERN 0, ECKERD 9
Skyler Ralstin started game two the same as the first with a stand-up double to deep left field but was stranded at second as the Mocs could not bring the sophomore home.
Mel Rogers struck out the last two batters swinging but not before the Tritons got on the board scoring on a two-run home run in the bottom of the third.
The Tritons hit a base clearing double in the bottom of the third to increase their lead to 6-0 before another couple of runs came across home plate for Eckerd to make it 8-0.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Tritons scored another insurance run to end the game with a 9-0 score in five-innings.
