Different game, but same results as the Mocs scored early and often for another productive first inning. A solo homer by Chevalier to leadoff game two was followed by a two-run homer by Liquori to bring
Ahmad Fitts home and 3-0 lead in the first.
Slight adjustment from last game, the Sailfish responded with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first by Houck to narrow the deficit to one, but the Mocs continued the pressure throughout the game. Continuing to rely on the deep ball,
Joe Raffaele sent one over the fence to bring
Ryan Jenkins home in the fourth with a run score on a balk in the same inning for a 6-2 lead.
In the top of the seventh, Florida Southern continued to score as Chevalier came home on a wild pitch, with a bases loaded situation brought Fitts in for a run after
Nick Wells was hit by a pitch. Keep the momentum, the Mocs score two insurance runs in the top of the ninth with an RBI double by DeSantolo and Wells for the 10-2 final score.
On the Mound for game two,
Dawson Lane got the win with five innings of work and four strikeouts.
Mitchell LeRoy came in to relieve and keep the Sailfish unable to score in his three innings of play, with
