MOBILE, Ala. – The Florida Southern College women's soccer had five different goal scorers in a massive 6-0 win over Spring Hill College in their first road trip of the season at Library Field Friday afternoon.

Freshman
Alison Jenkins led the Mocs with two goals in the match, as
Claire DuRee,
Caitlyn Lowery,
Anita Vera, and
Morgan Collica each had one goal. Florida Southern (1-0-2) led by five at the half with DuRee's goal in the second half. The Badgers (0-2-0) had five saves on the day as the Mocs attack proved too much.

Florida Southern started the game on the attack with the first goal coming within three minutes of the start after C. Lowery put the Mocs on board first. Vera was quick to respond with a goal herself five minutes later in an unassisted boot. The Moccasins continued pressure, allowing only one shot in the first half, which went wide.

Halfway through the first, Collica scored off a great pass by C. Lowery for a 3-0 Moccasin lead. The next several minutes had back-to-back shots by Jenkins that were saved by the Badgers, but a third shot on goal for Jenkins at the 34-minute mark found the back of the net. Jenkins didn't end there as she added a fifth Florida Southern goal, her second of the night, with an assist by
Justine Moreau.
Mocs goalie
Meghan Kriney started the match, with newcomer
Heidi Harris subbed in to start the second half. Harris saw her first shot on goal of the night by the Badgers, which she saved and immediately turned the momentum to Florida Southern when DuRee scored from an assist by
Jasmin Adames.

The Mocs added a couple more shots on goal, two from
Malia Brost toward the end of the match, as Florida Southern wins with a 6-0 score. The Mocs outshot the Badgers 14-to-2 with 11 shots on goal.

The Mocs stay on the road to face West Florida in Pensacola on Sunday, set for a 1:30 p.m. start.
