LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College softball head coach Mo Triner has released a 53-game 2023 spring schedule. The Mocs will have 35 games at home, including the season opener.
 
"I'm really excited for our schedule this year," stated Triner. "I have tried to get the best teams to come to Chris Bellotto field. This schedule is full of some of the best competition. Several of the teams we have scheduled played in the postseason and a few that were in the College World Series last year, Along with the super competitive Sunshine State conference teams. Opening night will be Chris Bellotto Day vs. Alabama Huntsville."
 
FSC will open the season at Chris Bellotto field on Feb. 2 with a doubleheader against the University of Alabama Huntsville. The Mocs will remain home for the rest of the weekend with doubleheaders on Feb. 3 against Carson-Newman University and Feb. 4 against University of Montevallo. The Mocs will then travel to Pensacola, Fla. to compete against the University of West Florida with a doubleheader on Feb. 10 and a single game on Feb. 11.
 
After the trip to Pensacola, FSC will begin conference play on the road with Florida Tech on Feb. 16 and a doubleheader on Feb. 17 in Melbourne. After back-to-back weekends on the road, the Mocs will host their first weekend of SSC play against Barry on Feb. 23 and 24 in Lakeland. FSC will stay home hosting Wilmington University (Del.) for a midweek doubleheader on Feb 27. 
 
The Mocs hit the road against SSC opponent Ecker on Mar. 1-2 before a 15-game home stretch. The Mocs will host doubleheaders against King University Mar. 6, Southwest Minnesota State University Mar. 7, Ursuline College Mar. 10, Hillsdale College Mar. 12, Bloomsburg University Mar. 13, and Adelphi University Mar. 17 rounding out non-conference play before hosting conference opponent Tampa Mar. 22-23. The March schedule concludes with Saint Leo Mar. 28-29 on the road.
 
Palm Beach will travel to Lakeland Apr. 5-6 to face FSC before the Mocs go on back-to-back away conference trips to face Lynn Apr. 12-13 and Nova Southeastern Apr. 19-20. The Mocs will finish at home against Embry-Riddle Apr. 26-27 and Rollins Apr. 3-4 to conclude the 53-game regular season.
