MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The No.24 Florida Southern College men's tennis team took down No.45 Georgia College and State University Sunday afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility.
The Mocs improved to 14-7 overall and dropping their first road trip match against Augusta on Friday. The Bobcats fell to 6-7 overall with the loss to FSC.
In doubles competition the No. 9 pairing of
Chris Fok Kow and
Matteo Feggi earned a 6-4 win at the #1 court.
Danny Thomas and
Inaki Braun Simo won at the #3 court to seal the Moccasin point in doubles. The second court went unfinished with point to the Mocs.
For singles, the Mocs had another win by Braun Simo and
Ryan Rajakar as the Bobcats rallied for three court wins themselves. Court three decided the match as
Alex Fascio outlasted his GCSU opponent in three sets for the big win.
The Mocs will take on No.25 Embry-Riddle on Thursday, April 6, set for a 3:30 p.m. start at the Crotty Tennis Complex in Daytona Beach.
