LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College men's basketball alumni E.J. Dambreville signed to play professionally in Denmark with team FOG Næstved in the Danish basketball league, Basketligaen.
 
Team FOG Næstved, named after the former supermarket chain FOG, were the 2017 Danish Basketball Cup Champions and went 27-11 last season concluding in the league's championship game. The Dorchester, Mass. native signed a one year deal with FOG Næstved.
 
Dambreville, a three-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection, dominated the league this past season finishing in the top eight in scoring average (18.1) and second in rebounds per game (9.9).
 
The 6-4 guard recorded 13 double-doubles which were second-best in the league and ninth-best out of 26 ranked players in the country. Dambreville finished with 277 total rebounds, tops in the league, and eighth in the nation (246 ranked), while finishing as a top-3 national defensive rebounder at 8.57 defensive rebounds per game; also, a top mark in the league.
 
This year, Dambreville scored in double-digits in 27 of 28 games played while grabbing double-digit rebounds in 14 games. He tied his career-high, of 29 points, two times in road games at Clayton State (11/15/22) and Rollins (1/14/23).
 
Dambreville concluded his collegiate career with 1,533 career points in 127 games played for the Mocs with 951 rebounds, 255 assists, 128 steals, and 38 blocks. His 1,533 points rank him 10th all-time in program history while his 951 rebounds are third all-time, putting him as just the sixth player in Florida Southern Men's Basketball history to finish his career in the top-10 in both scoring and rebounding. His 127 career games played ties John Ebeling (1979-82) for ninth best.
