Caitlin Beery captured the 800m record while finishing in the top-10 in Gainesville. The Moccasins wrapped up action at the RADD Sports College Invitational with a pair of school records over the two day event and several other top-10 all-time performances. Â Â Â

TOP PERFORMERS
- Beery led a group of four Mocs in the 800m including the previous school record holder, graduate student Jinia Johnson. Beery crossed the finish in 2:19.87, which lowered the school mark by two seconds. The time earned Beery 10th in the event. Johnson was the next finisher for the Mocs as she captured the sixth fastest time in program history at 2:25.20 while taking 19th overall. The final all-time performance came from freshman Alena Pezzoli, who earned the ninth-best time in program history at 2:25.72 while placing 21st. The final Moc in the event was freshman Katrina Machado who took 27th in 2:30.48.
- The opening event of the day for the Mocs was the 5,000m as freshman Kira Casane was the lone FSC participant. Casane completed the distance in 19:23.63 to rank ninth in the FSC record book. The time also earned her 13th overall Saturday afternoon.

UP NEXT:
The Moccasins will be back in action next weekend as a small group will travel to Boston, Mass. to compete in the John Thomas Terrier Classic while the rest of the Mocs will see action in Gainesville at the Legends of Alachua County Invitational.
