JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Southern College women's track team traveled to Jacksonville, Fla. to compete in the East Coast Relays hosted by the University of North Florida. The Moccasins competed in two events and posted top-10 season performances in each distance.

TOP PERFORMERS
- The opening event for the Mocs was the 1,500m as junior Caitlin Beery was the lone Florida Southern runner in the event. She posted the seventh-fastest time this season by a Moc at 4:49.97 while placing 30th.
- Five Mocs took to the track in the 5,000m to close out the night. Sophomore Grace Reed paced FSC with a 14th place finish while posting the 10th-fastest time this season at 17:50.41. Junior Rachel Hockenberry came across the finish just six spots back in 20th while clocking in at 18:07.46. Sophomore Emma Pfeiffer finished inside the top-30 in 27th while posting a time of 18:28.80. The final two Moccasin finishers were experiencing two different feelings. Senior Mya Stam was wrapping up her college career, competing in her final race, while freshman Alena Pezzoli was wrapping up her first collegiate season for the Mocs. Stam came in just four spots behind Pfeiffer with a time of 18:35.03 while placing 31st. Pezzoli came in just two spots back in 33rd while crossing the line in 18:43.33.

The Moccasins will be back in action next week in either California or Tennessee as they will either travel to the Franson Last Chance in Azusa, Calif. or the Lee University Last Chance in Cleveland, Tenn.
