MELBOURNE, Fla. – Seniors
Emma Mussante and
Mya Stam of the Florida Southern College women's track team were named All-Sunshine State Conference Second Team for their efforts at the 2025 SSC Championships, the league office announced Tuesday (April 29) afternoon. The pair become the first two Moccasins named all-conference in outdoor track as the SSC held its inaugural outdoor track championships this spring.

League coaches voted for Distance Runner, Sprinter, Freshman, and Coach of the Year awards, while runners who finished top-three at the 2025 SSC Women's Outdoor Track Championships earned All-SSC status. Those who won individual titles were named First Team while those placing second and third earned Second Team honors.

Mussante took second overall in the 5,000m at the 2025 Championships while Stam placed third in the 10,000m to earn their all-conference accolades.

Campbell Caldwell of the University of Tampa and Jillian Thorning of Nova Southeastern University were each named Distance Runner of the Year, Allison Murphy of Tampa garners Sprinter of the Year, Sativa James of Nova Southeastern earns Freshman of the Year, and Tampa's Logan Wells is voted Coach of the Year.

Mussante, Stam and the rest of the Mocs will be back in action this weekend at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Fla. Â
