LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College women's tennis has unveiled its 2026 spring schedule, featuring a strong mix of regional and national competition as the Moccasins prepare for another competitive season in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC).
Under head coach
Trish Riddell, the Mocs will open the campaign with a full slate of home matches at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center while also testing their skills against top Division II opponents on the road.
"Per usual, the conference schedule presents many challenges," states Riddell. "Nothing is a greater challenge than facing Barry, defending national champions early, but as always we are preparing to compete. We also have a few in region teams as well as a variety fo outside region foes. A good balance of home and on the road competition and looking to take our season a step further this year."
Florida Southern begins play January 31–February 1 by hosting a tournament in Lakeland featuring junior college and Division II teams. The regular season officially kicks off on February 12 with a conference road matchup against Rollins in Winter Park, followed by another SSC trip to Barry on February 14.
The Mocs return home on February 27 to face Eckerd before traveling north for their annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. (March 1–3), where they'll play multiple non-conference opponents.
Throughout March, Florida Southern will host a series of home matches against Grand Valley State (March 10), Jefferson (March 12), Tuskegee (March 13), and regional power West Florida (March 15). Conference play continues with home duals against Lynn (March 19) and Nova Southeastern (March 27) before traveling to Palm Beach Atlantic (March 28) and Tampa (March 31).
The Mocs round out their regular season at home on April 8 against Embry-Riddle, then travel to Saint Leo on April 16 for the final SSC matchup before postseason play begins.
