Women's Soccer to Face Embry-Riddle in SSC Quarterfinals

LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College women's soccer team will travel to Daytona Beach to compete in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Championship, beginning on Monday, Nov. 10.

SSC QUARTERFINAL
OPPONENT: (RV) Embry-Riddle
Location: Daytona Beach, Fla. | ERAU Soccer Stadium
Date: Monday, Nov. 10, 2025 | 6:00 p.m.

Five-seed Moccasins (8-2-6, 3-2-5 SSC)
Florida Southern earned the fifth spot in the conference tournament, excelling on defense with a conference-low .44 GAA. The strong backline has consistently kept opposing offenses from obtaining scoring opportunities, leading to the top-10 ranking in the nation for the GAA category. Leading the force in goal is Carly Brodsky, a two-time SSC Defensive Player of the Week winner, who has started all 16 games for the Mocs and tallied a new FSC record 10 shutouts in 2025. A top-10 ranking in shutouts and top 20 of GAA and save percentage among all NCAA DII programs, Brodsky has been stellar in 2025, helping put the Mocs among the best in the conference and region.

Outside of the locked-down defense, FSC has nine different goal scorers, led by Isabella Payne. Payne has a team-high four goals and added one assist for nine points this season. She also leads the team in shots with 21 and shots on goal, with 10. Bria Weldon, Breena Harrigan, Rilee Hasegawa, and Ava Hackworth are the other Mocs with 2+ goals scored. Sierra Spirk, Jasmin Adames, Allie Draper, and Jamie Klein each have one goal to contribute to the team's 17 total goals scored this season. As a team, FSC averages 10 shots a game and holds a 50-40 advantage in corners compared to their opponents. With the addition of overtime or penalty kicks to determine a postseason winner, the Mocs went 2-3 in penalty kick opportunities this season.

RV/Four-seed Eagles (6-1-9, 4-1-5 SSC)
Embry-Riddle sits in the middle of the conference in goals made and goals against, just ahead of Florida Southern. The Eagles have 19 goals this season, averaging just over nine shots a game. They hold a sizeable advantage in corners, with 86, just behind Nova Southeastern (87) as a conference leader. Individually, ERAU is led by Lauryn Mateo, who has 15 points this season off six goals and three assists. Anna Marisa Lara has five goals and two assists for 12 points, joining Ida Zetterberg as the other Eagles players with more than one goal this year. Defensively, Stella Roane has 16 games played with a GAA of .75 and 59 saves. She has a save percentage of 83%, allowing just 12 goals in 2025.
