BOSTON, Mass. – Junior
Anthony Matthew shaved another second off his school record mile time to lead the Florida Southern College men's track team at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University. Five Moccasins were in action Saturday with seven top-10 all-time performances coming on the track at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Matthew and sophomore Simon DeVoss were the first two Mocs on the track as they competed in the mile. Matthew took 69th overall while shaving another second off his school record at 4:07.73. DeVoss stopped the clock at 4:10.43 to claim the fifth-best mile time in program history while taking 92nd in the event.
- The very next event on the track was the 3,000m which saw Matthew return to the track. Junior Chris Colavita took the top spot for the Mocs as he secured the third-best time in program history while taking 90th at 8:24.46. Matthew finished just seven seconds behind at 8:31.11 to claim his second top-10 all-time performance with the seventh best time. He also earned 116th in the event. The final Moccasin in the event was graduate student Elijah De La Cerda who just missed out on a top-10 time at 8:34.75 to take 131st.
- The final event of the meet was the 5,000m which saw De La Cerda and Colavita return to the track and they were joined by junior Christian Giller. Giller led the way as he posted the third-best time in program history at 14:19.37 while taking 73rd. De La Cerda was the next FSC finisher as he took 110th with the program's eighth best time at 14:50.87. Colavita earned his second top-10 performance of the night with the 10th-best time at FSC, 14:51.42, while taking 113th.
