LAKELAND, Fla. – For the third time this season, senior
Emma Mussante of the Florida Southern College women's track team has been named the Sunshine State Conference Women's Outdoor Distance Runner of the Week. This season marks the first time the conference has awarded weekly honors for track. Mussante has competed at five meets this season and has brought home Runner of the Week honors after three of the five.

The Moccasins competed in Cleveland, Tenn. at the Lee University – Fast Break Athletics Invitational this past Friday. Mussante led the way for the Mocs as she posted the second-fastest 5K time in program history at 17:10.50. She now holds the top-four all-time best performances in the 5,000m at FSC and six of the top-10. Her performance Friday earned her 15th overall.

The women's track team will be back in action this Saturday, April 19 at the inaugural Sunshine State Conference Outdoor Track Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla.
