BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 6 Florida Southern College baseball team lost the Friday doubleheader against Lynn University to lose the road series at the Lynn Baseball and Softball Complex.

GAME 1: FLORIDA SOUTHERN 9, LYNN 21
Despite 18 hits by the Mocs, the Fighting Knights answered with 23 hits in a 21-9 win. Lynn grew to an 11-0 lead through four innings before the Mocs could score, led by a grand slam by Cole Fowler. The first runs by FSC was in the fifth inning with a run scored on a fielder's choice, followed by a two-run homer by Grant Thoroman. LU had a single run in the fifth, as the Mocs had RBI singles by Cory Filley and Mikey Scott to make it a 12-5 Lynn lead. Both teams traded runs over the fifth and sixth, including a two-run homer by Ahmad Fitts, but Lynn added another seven runs in the seventh to make it a 21-7 lead. FSC added single runs in the eighth and ninth, though lost 21-9.

Brady Doorey led the team with a 4-for-4 outing, all singles, two runs, and a HBP. Fitts and Thoroman were the only Mocs with more than one RBI in the game off their home runs, with multi-hit games by Thoroman, Doorey, Rohsean Riley, Fitts, Wyatt Campbell, and Filley. Both teams combined for 41 hits and 30 runs, though FSC left 13 on base. The loss went to Sachem Ramos, who started the game, and went 3.1 innings with eight runs allowed. He was relieved by Tanner Rollyson, Ethan Breslin, Austen Kessler, David Butz, Colby Rice, and Brandon Jung. DiMaggio from Lynn was credited with the win, which was his fifth of the season.

GAME 2: FLORIDA SOUTHERN 4, LYNN 5
FSC managed to keep the series finale close, though still outhit by Lynn 10-to-7. Lynn was first to score after three scoreless innings to start the game. A two RBI single by Leon Paulino made it a 2-0 LU lead, though FSC took the lead in the seventh with single runs over the fifth, sixth, and seventh. An RBI single by Chris McKenna and RBI by Scott highlighted the outing, 3-2 heading into the seventh inning stretch.

Lynn tied the game in the bottom seventh, though FSC took a 4-3 lead with a sac fly by Riley, in the top of the eighth. The same inning, Relaford had two stolen bases, including the base to set the new program record of stolen bases in a single season, his 50th in 2025. FSC had three straight outs in the top of the ninth, unable to extend their one-run lead, which allowed the Fighting Knights to tie the game, and eventually walk off on an RBI single by Robinson. Wyatt Clark has handed the loss on the final two earned runs, and the win to Lynn's Wills.
