Matthew and Giller Shine at Franson Last Chance

AZUSA, Calif. – The Florida Southern College men's track team closed out the 2025 regular season with a bang as juniors Anthony Matthew and Christian Giller had standout performances in California. Matthew posted the second-fastest 800m mark in program history while Giller earned the second-fastest 10K time in program history while earning a personal best.

Matthew was the first Moccasin on the track as he took 21st overall Friday while turning in a time of 1:50.21 which is the second fastest mark for Matthew and the Mocs this season behind his school record performance of 1:49.95 set earlier this season at USF.

Giller then bested the field in the 10,000m as he picked up his third victory of the season and second in the 10K. His time of 29:31.33 was a personal best for the junior and second fastest in program history. The new personal best shaved nearly 15 seconds off his previous best time this season.

The Moccasins will now await the announcement of the NCAA Championships field later this month with hopes of earning an invite to Pueblo, Colo. for the 2025 event.
