MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced its 2025 baseball postseason awards with several Florida Southern College student-athletes represented.
The Moccasins had
Ahmad Fitts (UT),
Grant Thoroman (OF),
Mikey Scott (OF), and
Noah Rabin (OF) named All-SSC First Team. Starters
Sachem Ramos and
Logan Adams were awarded All-SSC Second Team honors with
Rohsean Riley (3B),
Cory Filley (C), and Thoroman (OF) named to the All-Defensive Team. This is the third career All-SSC honor for Riley, twice named All-Defensive (2024, 2025) and First Team in 2023. Scott was named First Team in 2024 as a utility player with Saint Leo before transferring to Florida Southern.
The entire outfield for the Mocs earned First Team honors with Scott and Thoroman starting every game this season. Fitts and Rabin have split time in right field, with Fitts earning Utility honors for his time at 1B, OF, and DH. Scott, Rabin, and Thoroman all bat .370, with Scott leading the team with .376 this season and a combined 160 RBI (Thoroman leads with 68). Fitts is the team leader in home runs (13), one of the best in the conference, while batting over .300. The First Team selections make up 104 of the team's 219 stolen bases, a threat to an opposing defense.
Representing FSC on the mound in the All-SSC honors, Ramos and Adams are starting pitchers with 15 combined wins. Ramos is 10-2 on the season with 15 starts, followed by Adams with a 5-2 record in seven starts/11 appearances. Ramos has a 4.22 ERA in his 91.2 innings pitched, with Adams registering a 3.17 ERA in 48.1 innings. Ramos led the team with 86 strikeouts this season.
In his second All-Defensive Team recognition of his career, Riley had a great year at third base, with a .952 fielding percentage, 37 putouts, and 82 assists on his 125 chances. Offensively, he bats .369 with 65 hits. Filley started 36 games behind the plate for the Mocs with a .298 batting average, while securing a .992 fielding percentage and 19 caught stealing, the best in the league. Thoroman rounded out the defensive awards with a .993 fielding percentage in center field, with just one error in his 153 chances.
