NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has announced the 48 student-athletes selected for the 2025 Division II All-American team, divided into first-, second-, and third teams. Florida Southern College saw four players tabbed All-American status with
Abby McFerren and
Maria Reeves earning First Team honors,
Giana Murphy Second Team, and
Audrey Cannelli Third Team.Â
Of the 48 All-Americans selected, representing 23 different institutions, the Sunshine State Conference had 12 selected to the teams with seven first team All-Americans, three second team, and two to the third team.Â
Abby McFerren earned her second IWLCA All-America honors of her career after being named to the Second Team in 2024. Last week, McFerren was also named a USA Lacrosse All-American. The graduate student from York, Pa., currently leads the Moccasins in total points on the year with 96, while she is first in assists (38) and second in goals (58). After ending the season in the NCAA quarterfinals, McFerren had a career-high of eight goals, which she scored in the last regular season game of the year (4/15), and has had 17 multi-goal games of the 20 games she's played. She has a streak of 43 straight games with at least one point in the contest; the last time she was held pointless was April 27, 2023.
Maria Reeves, a senior from Everett, Wash., has made a major impact this season on the draw circle and earned her first IWLCA All-America honors, previously named the USA Lacrosse All-America team last week. Reeves has surpassed the Florida Southern and Sunshine State Conference single-season individual draw control record with 193Â after the 2025 season. In 21 games this season, she has eight double-digit performances with a career-high 21 draw controls against Florida Tech (4/15), where she broke the Mocs'Â program record for a single game.
Giana Murphy, a senior from Manorville, N.Y., also earned her first career IWLCA All-America honors after guiding the Moccasins to an 18-3 record. She joined Reeves and McFerren as Mocs named to the USA Lacrosse All-America team. She's the team leader in goals (69) and is second in total points (93) and assists (24). Murphy ended the 2025 season with a team-high five game-winning goals, with a .710 clip from free position scoring 27 goals off the arc. After missing the 2024 season due to an injury, Murphy has come back and is on fire registering at least one point in all 21 games in 2025, with a career-high in the Red and White of seven goals against Embry-Riddle (4/9) while she's notched eight points twice this season, against ERAU and Pace (3/16).
Audrey Cannelli, a sophomore from Annapolis, Md., earns her first career All-America recognition as a Second Team All-South Region winner last week. She is second on the team in draw controls to Reeves' 193 with 65Â total, while she's tied for second in caused turnovers with 22 and is fourth on the team in groundballs with 25.
