AUSTIN, Texas – The 2025 Academic All-America Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), have been announced with Florida Southern College's
Mikey Scott named to the Third Team.

Scott is the first Moccasin in program history since 2021 to be selected as an Academic All-American (Vaun Brown (OF), 2021). He is the sixth in program history, joining Brown, J.J. Niekro, Joey Miller, Billy Miller, and Drew Miller. Scott was the only Academic All-American represented by the Sunshine State Conference.

Scott had an incredible 2025 season, finishing with a .371 batting average and a team-high 83 hits. He finished with 56 RBI on the year, scoring 71 runs and going 51-62 in stolen bases. The graduate student from Cutler Bay, Fla., helped the Mocs to one of the best SB records in the nation, finishing with 230 as a team, surpassing the previous program record of 167 in a single season. The outfielder was named ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region First Team, All-SSC First Team, and a preseason NCBWA All-South Team selection in addition to his Academic All-District honor. Scott is graduating with an MBA in Healthcare Management after completing his Bachelor of Arts in Medical Humanities.
