LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College women's basketball head coach Megan Dzikas has announced the program's full 2025–26 schedule, featuring a balanced mix of regional competition, marquee non-conference games, and a full slate of Sunshine State Conference (SSC) contests.
"I am excited to announce our 2025-2026 season schedule, which features a competitive start, a historic reunion celebration, and a strong slate of home contests to open the year before we head into the always challenging conference schedule, states Dzikas. "We jump right in, playing high-level basketball against two proven NCAA tournament teams from last year in Lee University and Alabama Huntsville. Our group is excited and ready to kick the season off."
The Mocs tip off the season on the road at the SSC/GSC Regional Crossover in Cleveland, Tenn., where they will face off against Lee on Friday, Nov. 14, followed by a matchup with UAH on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Florida Southern returns to Lakeland for a six-game home stand starting with Colorado Christian on Nov. 20. After a brief break, the Mocs host Lake Erie (Nov. 28) and Puerto Rico–Bayamon (Nov. 29) in the annual Mocs Thanksgiving Classic.
"We are thrilled to be hosting 15 home games in front of the best fans, including seven in the first semester," Dzikas adds. "Our Thanksgiving and Christmas tournaments will feature good teams from Puerto Rico, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina."
SSC play begins Dec. 3 on the road at Saint Leo before the Mocs host Rollins for Alumni Day on Dec. 6.
"Circled on my calendar is one special game I would like everyone to pack the field house, our home game on Dec. 6th at 2 pm against Rollins College," expresses Dzikas. "Not only because of the rivalry, but also, we will honor and celebrate the 2015-2016 Elite Eight team for its 10-year reunion. The evening will include a halftime ceremony recognizing the team's remarkable achievements. We can't wait to welcome all alumni back to campus to celebrate YOU and this amazing team's success!"
Conference action continues at Lynn (Dec. 13) before the team wraps up the 2025 calendar year at home, hosting Southern Wesleyan (Dec. 19) and Erskine (Dec. 20) as part of the Mocs Christmas Classic.
The Mocs open 2026 with three straight home games: Palm Beach Atlantic (Dec. 31), Barry (Jan. 7), and Embry-Riddle (Jan. 14), with road trips to Nova Southeastern (Jan. 3), Florida Tech (Jan. 10), Eckerd (Jan. 17), and Tampa (Jan. 21) in between.
Florida Southern continues SSC play with a Jan. 24 home game against Lynn, followed by a Jan. 28 contest against Saint Leo. In February, the Mocs hit the road to face Palm Beach Atlantic (Feb. 4), Rollins (Feb. 7), and Embry-Riddle (Feb. 14), while hosting Eckerd (Feb. 11), Florida Tech (Feb. 18), and Tampa (Feb. 21).
The final week of the regular season features a road game at Barry on Feb. 25 before closing the schedule at home against Nova Southeastern on Feb. 28.
"As we return a solid core of players along with 75% of our offense, we were able to add a balanced class of two freshmen and three transfers that fit right into our culture of competitiveness and winning," Dzikas concludes. "My staff and I are ready to get this season started!"
