Bee Elevated to Associate Athletics Director

LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College Director of Athletics and Dean of Wellness Drew Howard announced the promotion of Brad Bee to Associate Athletics Director. Bee has served as Assistant Athletics Director of Athletics Communications at Florida Southern since December of 2021.
 
After 15 years in the communications sector, Bee is being elevated to Associate Athletic Director to oversee a vast majority of internal operations including communications and broadcasting, game management, as well as branding and logo approval for the athletic department, marketing and game promotions, schedule approval, and the liaison to various campus groups and organizations.
 
Bee joined Florida Southern after spending six years at Sunshine State Conference foe Saint Leo University as the Director of Athletic Communications, Jan. 2016 through Dec. 2019, and the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications, Jan. 2020 through Dec. 2021. Soon after his arrival, Bee covered four teams competing at the 2016 NCAA Division II Spring Festival in which the Lions captured its first individual national champion, Hugo Bernard (Men's Golf), as well as the first team national title with Men's Golf. As the only communications personnel in Denver, Colo. covering four teams competing at the national championships, he captured photos, video, and posted daily recaps for the teams competing that ended in a second-place finish in men's tennis, third place in women's tennis, and fourth place in women's golf, while the men's team defeated Chico State for the first-ever national championship in school history.
 
Prior to his arrival in St. Leo, Fla., he spent time at Division I Kent State University (2014-2016) and the University of Mount Union (2012-2014). Bee got his start in Sports Information as an undergraduate student-athlete at Thiel College (2010-2012). Bee graduated from Thiel in 2012 with a degree in business administration and marketing.
