LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Southern College department of athletics welcomes Maxon Blow as an assistant athletic trainer, announced by head athletic trainer Reginald Mungrue.

"We are excited about the addition of Maxon to our staff," shared Mungrue. "We look forward to her work and enthusiasm in working with our training staff at Florida Southern. Maxon will be responsible for the care of men's lacrosse and the golf teams, and we know she will be a valuable asset to those programs."

Blow traveled to Lakeland after spending the last two years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Georgetown College in Kentucky. She assisted with the football team, later becoming the lead trainer for football, women's lacrosse, women's basketball, cheerleading, and assisting with men's volleyball.

"I am excited to be joining Florida Southern College and beginning this new chapter in my career," said Blow. "I look forward to getting to know the members of the athletic department and working with the various departments across campus."

A graduate of the University of Delaware, Blow spent her Athletic Training Internship at the University of Florida, assisting with the Gators' spring football team. As an athletic training student, Blow assisted with a variety of sports, including football, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and other club sports. In addition to her time at Delaware, she served in an off-campus physical training clinic and a local high school.

Blow completed her Bachelor of Sports Health from the University of Delaware in 2022 and her Master of Athletic Training in 2023. She holds certifications with NATC, BLS, and Corrective Exercise Specialization with memberships in the NATC, Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society, and Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association.
