FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — No. 12 Florida Southern College men's swimming beat both No. 17 Nova Southeastern University and Barry University in a dual meet at the NSU Aquatic Center on Friday afternoon.

The Moccasins won both head-to-head competitions, beginning with a 145-117 win over the Sharks and a 189-69 victory against the Buccaneers. Earlier in the day, the CSCAA released its latest Top 25 poll, with the Mocs moving up to No. 12 from last month's No. 13 ranking.

Florida Southern secured a commanding performance at the recent event, highlighted by several victories and top finishes. The team excelled in relay events, with the quartet of
Michael Tretyakov, Janek Barczyk, Nino Viallon, and
Will Neville claiming first place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:28.74. Individual success was marked by
Daniel Meszaros winning the 200-yard freestyle in 1:37.05, while Neville closely followed in second place at 1:38.95. In the 100-yard freestyle, Neville clinched another victory with a time of 43.90, showcasing his consistent performance across the meet. In the 500 free,
Peter Csicsaky won the event in 4:25.47, with Meszaros in second place.

The 200-yard butterfly saw Florida Southern dominate the podium, with
Simeon Prosinski finishing first at 1:49.63,
Cormac McKenney trailing closely for second place in 1:49.71, and
Tristan Clanton in third with 1:51.43.
Matheus Da Rocha impressed with a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in at 20.05, and later secured second in the 100-yard freestyle. Viallon excelled, capturing first in the 100-yard butterfly at 48.29 and contributing to the winning 200-yard medley relay team. The men's 400-yard freestyle relay capped the event with another first-place finish, as Viallon, Da Rocha, Meszaros, and Neville combined for a time of 2:55.25, affirming Florida Southern's strength in both individual and team events.

The next challenge for the Mocs will be against Lynn University on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. The matchup will take place in Boca Raton, Fla.
