OCALA, Fla. – Day two of the Sunshine State Conference Swimming Championships had several great swims on the Florida Southern College men's team, highlighted by a podium spot for
Will Neville in the 50 freestyle on Thursday night at the FAST Center.

The Moccasins currently sit in sixth place overall with 111 points. The University of Tampa is the SSC's leader after two days with 271 points, followed by Nova Southeastern University with 171 points, and Lynn University in third with 140 points.

A total of six Moccasins made the evening finals, beginning with
Peter Csicsaky in the final heat of the 1000 free. Csicsaky finished fifth overall with a time of 9:10.79, nearly 20 seconds faster than his seeded time. Representing FSC in the 50 free, Neville snatched a podium spot with a time of 19.70, just ahead of teammate
Matheus Da Rocha, who finished in fourth with 19.71 in the A final. In the B final,
Michael Tretyakov won the consolation final with a time of 20.16, as
Nino Viallon finished 12
th overall with a time of 20.52.
Simeon Prosinski took part in the 200 IM B final, winning his heat with a time of 1:48.24.

The final event of the evening was the 200 medley relay, in which the B team of
William Eriksson, Cooper Krance, Tristan Clanton, and
Bennett Baer finished with a time of 1:30.00. The A team was unable to tally points with an early take-off.

In prelims, Prosinski finished the 200 IM in 1:49.66 for his B final appearance.
Cormac McKenney was the other Mocs in the top 30 times for the morning session, finishing in 1:53.06. For the 50 free, Da Rocha and Neville each went sub-20 seconds to go 2-and-3 for best times. Tretyakov was ninth in the morning to join Viallon for the B final.
Janek Barczyk just missed an evening spot with a 20.65 for 17
th place. Morning heats of the 1000 free had great swims by
Daniel Cushing (9:37.02) and
Thomas Wooldridge (9:43.38).

The Mocs will resume tomorrow, Friday, February 13th, at 10:00 AM with Day 3 prelims. Events for the day include the 100 butterfly, 400 IM, and 200 freestyle. The evening finals will add the 400 medley relay to complete the day's events.
