Men's Swimming Set Program and SSC Meet Record with 200 Free Relay Championship

OCALA, Fla. - The Florida Southern College men's swimming team won its first title at the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championships with a victory in the 200 free relay on Saturday night at the FAST Center. 
 
The Moccasins won the 200 free relay behind a team of Michael Tretyakov, Will Neville, Nino Viallon, and Matheus Da Rocha. FSC finished with a time of 1:18.48, setting a new FSC and SSC meet record. The win gave the Mocs a boost in points to remain in fourth overall with 344 points. The University of Tampa has 721 points, followed by Lynn University in second with 410.5 points and Nova Southeastern University in third with 403 points. 
 
The evening finals began with the 500 free as Peter Csicsaky was just outside the podium with a fourth-place finish with a time of 4:24.81. Daniel Meszaros was seventh in the same A final with a time of 4:30.35. In the A final of the 100 back, Tretyakov was sixth with a time of 48.38. In the consolation final, William Eriksson finished fifth in the 100 back with a time of 49.65. 
 
For the 100 breaststroke, Janek Barczyk had a podium spot with a time of 53.55 for third place. FSC had a strong showing in the consolation final of the 200 fly, as Simeon Prosinski was second with a time of 1:48.86, Cormac McKenney in fourth with 1:50.01, Jeremiah Goodwin in fifth with 1:50.56, and Tyler King in sixth with a time of 1:52.69. 
 
The last event of the evening was the 200 free relay as the A team set the new program and SSC meet record of 1:18.48. FSC's B team was fifth in that heat with a time of 1:22.77. 
 
In prelims, Csicsaky and Meszaros went back-to-back (4-5) to make the A final. Daniel Cushing was 19th overall in the morning swims with 4:33.75, Thomas Wooldridge 26th with 4:39.43, and Bennett Baer in 27th with 4:40.36. Tretyakov was fifth in the morning session to make the A final, and Eriksson 12th for the B final. Representing FSC in the 100 breast, Barczyk tied for first with a time of 53.22. Cooper Krance was just outside the evening sessions with 17th for a time of 56.96. Reese Whelan was the final Moc in the top 30, finishing 22nd with time of 57.87. For the 200 fly, Tristan Clanton nearly added to the FSC lineup in the B final, though he finished with a time of 1:53.60.
 
The championship will conclude tomorrow, Sunday, February 15th, at 10:00 AM with Day 5 prelims. Events for the day include the 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, and 1650 freestyle. The evening finals will feature the final heat of the 1650 free and the 400 free relay to complete the championship events.
