EVANSVILLE, Fla. – The No. 9 Florida Southern College men's swimming team finished day two of the 2026 NCAA Swimming Championships with a successful day of competition.
The Moccasins sit in 11
th place with 49 points overall after the second day of swimming. The current leader is Drury with 152 points, followed by the University of Tampa with 149 points, and Colorado Mesa with 139 points for the top three teams.
In the evening finals,
Matheus Da Rocha and
Will Neville took part in the 50 free consolation final, finishing back-to-back for 12
th and 13
th place overall. Da Rocha finished just ahead with a time of 19.78, and Neville a time of 19.81.
The last event of the evening was the 200 medley relay, as a team of Da Rocha,
Janek Barczyk, Nino Viallon, and Neville finished with an eighth-place podium finish of 1:25.76, winning the first of two heats.
In prelims,
Simeon Prosinski was just outside of an evening invite with a 1:46.81 time in the 200 IM, good for 18
th overall. In the 50 free, Da Rocha was 11
th in the morning session with a time of 19.73. Neville took the last B final spot with a time of 19.81 for 16
th overall.
Michael Tretyakov was 27
th overall with a time of 20.21. For the 1000 free,
Peter Csicsaky was 28
th overall with a time of 9:23.32.
The Mocs will take on day three of events with the 400 IM (Prosinski), 200 free (Csicsaky,
Daniel Meszaros, Neville), and the 400 medley relay.
