MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — Florida Southern College baseball (14-11, 5-3 SSC) dominated Barry University (14-10, 2-6 SSC) with a commanding 16-0 win in game one and a 6-1 victory in game two on Saturday at Feinbloom Field. Game one was resumed in the bottom of the first inning after yesterday's game was halted due to the weather.

Game one action started in the first inning with Ryan Jenkins singling and advancing to third on a throwing error. Mikey Scott followed with a double down the right field line, driving in Jenkins. Carson Brady and Cory Filley kept the rally going with singles, scoring Scott. Brock Budacki's sacrifice fly capped off the inning, putting Florida Southern ahead 3-0. In the second inning, Amir Streeter doubled and scored on a throwing error. Scott's single moved Jenkins to third, and Brady's single added another run. Gavin Smith then delivered a two-RBI single, extending the lead to 7-0. Filley smashed a two-run homer in the fourth, solidifying the Moccasins' advantage at 9-0. The fifth inning saw Eli Thurmond walk and score on Eric Harrison Jr.'s RBI single, pushing the score to 10-0. Streeter's two-RBI double in the sixth, followed by Scott's two-RBI triple and another RBI double from Harrison Jr., extended the Moccasins' lead to 15-0. In the eighth, Streeter reached base and scored on Colby Brewington's fielder's choice, sealing the score at 16-0.

Scott had a standout game with three hits, including a double and a triple, driving in three runs. Filley added a home run to his two-hit, three-RBI performance. Sachem Ramos delivered an impressive outing, pitching five scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and just one hit allowed. Thurmond showcased his speed with two stolen bases, scoring twice, and collecting two hits and a walk. Ramos was the star on the mound for the Mocs, allowing just one hit and no runs over five innings while striking out eight. Evan Parmer provided solid relief, striking out two without allowing a hit or a walk. Colby Rice and Rhett Raymer also kept the Buccaneers scoreless, with Rice inducing a key double play and Raymer retiring two batters, including one by strikeout. Tanner Quick handed out the final out in a strong game, and the combined efforts of the pitching staff kept Barry scoreless.

In their subsequent matchup, the Moccasins continued their dominance over the Buccaneers with a convincing 6-1 win on Saturday at Feinbloom Field.  Jenkins and Harrison Jr. powered the offensive charge with each knocking out home runs, ensuring the Moccasins stayed ahead throughout the matchup.

The Moccasins wasted no time, jumping to an early lead in the first inning. Jenkins smashed a solo homer to deep left field, marking his second of the season. Not to be outdone, Harrison also sent one over the left field wall, recording his fifth home run. Brady and Filley each singled, with Filley doubling to push them forward, setting the stage for Budacki's sacrifice fly that brought Brady home. Florida Southern wrapped up the first inning leading 3-1. The game stayed quiet until the eighth inning when the Mocs widened the gap. Smith singled, advanced on groundouts, and scored on Streeter's sacrifice fly to right field. Thurmond, after doubling, was driven home by Jenkins' single to center, stretching Florida Southern's lead to 5-1 through eight innings. In the ninth, Brady crushed his sixth home run of the season, a solo shot to left, sealing the Moccasins' decisive 6-1 victory over the Buccaneers.
