BROOKESVILLE, Fla. - The No. 12 Florida Southern women's golf team finished seventh overall on the final day of the Sunshine State Conference Championship at Cabot Citrus Farms.
The Moccasins finished with a score of 922 (+58) after three rounds of action in the tournament. The SSC crowned its champion, Nova Southeastern University, after finishing with a score of 892 (+28), one stroke better than Lynn University in second (893, +29). The individual conference champion was Alexandra Remaklus of NSU, with an even par score of 216 through 54 holes.
Kaley Amuso was the top Moc from the tournament, finishing tied-10th overall with a three-round score of 227 (+11). The senior shot a 2-over 74 in the final round, the best score of the team on day three.
Ava La Belle improved to tied-21st overall, with a 3-over final round of 75. She carded four birdies in the final round and finished the tournament with a score of 231 (+15).
Clare Gimpel held steady at third among the Mocs through the final day, finishing tied for 25th overall after a score of 232 (+16). She had one birdie in the final round and no doubles for a final round of 75 (+3).
McKinley Holding finished tied for 35th overall with a final round score of 7-over 79, tallying two birdies. She finished the tournament with a 237 (+21), a position up from her spot through two rounds.
Taylor Zachary rounded out the Moccasin lineup, sitting tied-41st. She shot an 8-over 80 final round to finish the three rounds with a 239 (+23).

The Moccasins will await NCAA postseason selections announced on Sunday, April 26th. The NCAA Super Regional will take place May 4-6 at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tenn., with the NCAA championship taking place May 12-16 at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
